Welcome to St Laurence Church Infant School

We are a ‘good‘ infant school, based on a lovely green site in Northfield, Birmingham.  As a voluntary aided Church of England school, we welcome everyone without discrimination.  Our vision for a ‘Love of Learning, Life and Each Other‘ challenges us to ensure everyone connected with our school can flourish and live well together. This means we want to develop the whole child, and all that is special about them.

Our school has 270 children in three classes of 30 in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Children are taught following the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum.  Because we are an infant school, we can focus really well on how young children learn best. Our Year 2 pupils have opportunities for leadership and taking responsibility that they may have to wait until Year 6 to have in an all through primary.

After children leave us, most go on to St Laurence Church Junior School which shares our site. We work closely with our Junior school to ensure that St Laurence children have continuity in their education and their holistic development. Both schools also have close links with St Laurence Church, Northfield
