All Infant school children are entitled to a school meal paid for by the government. This is regardless of whether on not they are entitled to "Free School Meals". Our meals are cooked in our on-site kitchen by our fantastic catering team.
Our school menu rotates on a three-week basis, with two main meal choices each day, one of which is always vegetarian. There is also the option of a jacket potato or sandwiches with a choice of fillings each day. A self-service salad bar is always available for children to choose extras for their meal. The most up-to-date version of the menu is available below.
Our menu follow the most recent Government School Meals Standards. Our kitchen is Food Hygiene Rated 5 Star, and compliant with all allergen requirements. Due to the new government nutrition guidance for children in EYFS, we are no longer allowed to serve a traditional ‘pudding’ to Reception children. Children in Reception can choose from a delicious selection of fresh fruit or yoghurt for dessert each day.
We encourage children to try the school meals, and will let you know if we have any concerns over their eating. Children may bring a healthy, nut-free packed lunch from home. If they do this, they can still choose salad bar items and a dessert option from the kitchen. Packed lunches should be sent in a named lunch box and represent a balanced meal. Sweets and chocolate bars are not permitted.

.
A healthy snack is provided free of charge for all children as part of the Fruit and Veg Scheme which is funded by the government. This includes fruit such as apples, satsumas and bananas and vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots and sugar snap peas. Children do not need to bring a snack from home.
Children may also have a drink of milk during the morning. Milk is provided free of charge to children under the age of five and those eligible for Pupil Premium. If you would like to pay for your child to have milk in school, you can register with Cool Milk (see below).
Water is the healthiest drink and we encourage children to stay hydrated by drinking water throughout the day. Children should bring a named plastic or metal (not glass) water bottle to school each day. Water bottles can be re-filled from the taps in each classroom.
