Admissions

Thank you for considering St Laurence Church Infant School for your child. This page contains information about the admissions process.

If you would like to find out more about our school, please take a look at this website, particularly our weekly newsletters which give a flavour of our school life.

Choosing the school where you feel your child will flourish is a big decision. You are most welcome to visit us here to get a feel for our caring ethos and wonderful children and staff. We feel prospective parents’ get the most out of seeing schools as they are, day to day so rather than hosting a staged open evening we offer tours during the school day. These usually take place on Wednesdays at 9.45am. Please contact the school office by phone or email and we can arrange this with you.

General Admissions Process

Our admissions process is part of the Local Authority co-ordinated scheme. For more information, see the Birmingham City Council School Admissions web page.

The school’s admission number is 90.

Due to low birthrates across the city, there is a strong chance that if you put our school as your first choice, you will be offered a place. In the event that there are more applications than places available, then all applications will be considered, together and at one time, by a committee of the Governing Body. The places will be allocated following the oversubscription criteria detailed in the relevant year’s admissions policy which can be found below:
